JUNE Challenge #23 Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt

Happy June!!! This month the book is Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner.

Listen to it HERE on Youtube.

There's a guest designer this month!!!

Here's what Rosmarie said about her card.

I was rather drawn to flowers for this card. So I wasn't just inspired by the book cover, but also by my peonies. They are particularly beautiful this year, as are all the flowers and plants this spring. The long period of rain we've had has done them a world of good!
I only used design paper for the card. I cut out two different designs and stuck them onto a gel print made with Distress Inks.
I added a strip of washi tape to the bottom left. The sentiment is a stamp from Stampin' Up.
I really enjoyed making this card :))

Thanks so much Rosmarie!!!

Here's my project.

My Friendship is Not a Big Thing... card can be found at Cricut Design Space.

Let the story theme, the cover, the layout of the cover, the color scheme (USUALLY not just one color, unless the story permits it!) inspire you to get creative!!!

I have a wonderful faithful guest designer this month!!

Hello, artisans!!! I've been dabbling in different fine arts and practical arts since age six when I started piano lessons! I took 9 years of weekly lessons!! At age 10 I added clarinet and bass clarinet but haven't played since high school. At age nine my arts and crafts, culinary, and sewing skills began. My mom was very supportive to have me try all sorts like making candles, cross-stitch, liquid embroidery, decoupage, flower arranging, etc. And she believed in helping her in the kitchen prepping and cleaning for meals. In high school and college I was an active member of yearbook staffs and I think that is part of the reason why I love blog posting my paper-crafted creations. Thanks very much Deanne for this opportunity to be a Guest Designer!

MARCH Challenge #20 The Cat In The Hat

This month, the book is this wonderful story!!

There are three wonderful guest designers this month!!

Hello friends!  My name is Vicki and I'm thrilled to be a guest on here!  I've been paper crafting for several years and have enjoyed creating cards.  I also love to create art journals, make mixed media projects as well as many other crafty things!  My husband retired a few years ago and we enjoy our time together as we try and get some traveling time as much as we can.   I've always enjoyed reading and had many favorite books as a child.  This is a fun challenge to combine two things that I enjoy together!  I hope you can stop by and visit my blog Stamped Smiles!

I am recently retired.
Still not enough time in the day for things I want to do!
I live in Southern BC, Canada with my mom.
I volunteer in town; spend the rest of my time looking after the meals, house & yard.
I find time each day to craft; I like entering different challenges. Most times they are a CHALLENGE! I learn new techniques and a LOT of them make me think outside my comfort zone!
I am honored to be a guest designer for Once Upon A Time.

FEBRUARY Challenge #19 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

This is the month for chocolate (and love!!!)

This was such a fun book to read!!! I really loved it as a child and then as a teacher, reading it to my class.

Guest designer this month is Mia!!

~*~
Hello! I am Mia. I am married to a wonderful husband and work as a senior scientific officer in the public sector in Athens, the capital of Greece. I love animals and I have canaries and cats.

I love art journaling, mixed media, and even digital creations. While I love coloring and making cute, elegant, vintage or romantic paper crafts, I often use non-traditional colors or try different styles or techniques. I also add collage and drawing, making quirky images.

I am a multi-crafter and enjoy painting, sewing, stitching, crocheting, and making jewelry and cosmetics. I also love writing poems and taking photos of nature (sky, sea, flowers, trees and critters). You may see my creations on my blog, Craftartista.
~*~

Here's Mia's awesome creation.

Here's what I created, a gift box to hold some Kisses!
